How To Slow Time Down and Get Results Fast

Recently I had a breakthrough in my awareness of how to slow time down while increasing my productivity. You see, time has been disappearing for me lately. Literally its like every time I looked up it was as if a week had gone by and every time I turned around it was as though a month had passed. Recruit resorces, execute innovations, align partnerships, increase revenues, and on and on.

It was as though time was vaporizing right before my eyes and try as I might to slow things down, every day seemed to go by faster and faster. And while days kept going by faster, it was as if I kept getting further from my goals, not closer. I’d wake each morning, give each day my all and no matter what I accomplished, it seemed like 1 step forward and 2 steps back. Can you relate?

Well, all of this changed as I decided to explore a practice that would help slow time down while also accelerating my results. Want to know what it is? It’s called fasting, and specifically a 72-hour water only fast.

Now, I know what you might be thinking, how the heck would not eating any food and only consuming water (and a little black coffee or tea) would slow time down and allow me to get more done?

On the surface, it does seem a bit counterintuitive, at least until you give it a try and the breakthrough occurs. For starters, by not eating, the energy requirement for digesting food (which oftentimes contains many toxins) is alleviated and can be used to get more work done instead. Another thing that occurs, is time definitely slows down because of the hunger pangs and lack of post-meal comas which usually kill an hour or two following each meal. At least for me, fasting helps me to be more present in each moment, and usually by the beginning of the second day, energy levels skyrocket.

And this doesn’t have to just be limited to a 72 hour fast. You can get started with a simple 12 hour fast and 12 hour feed intermittent fasting protocol. What’s important here is that you take action and give it a try. If you’re feeling bold, and as long as you are in great health and have a clean bill of health from you physican, give a 24 hour water only fast a try.

The best thing to do when fasting is to start slow. So if you’re new to fasting, try experimenting with intermittent fasting. There is a great article here.

Do your due diligence and research different fasting styles.

Start slow. It makes no sense to jump into the deep end and put yourself at a disadvantage3. Just start slowly and work your way up to the extended fasting protocols.

What is your experience with fasting? Have you ever completed a 72-hour water only fast?
